Growth Groups are an integral part of The Pointe Church experience. Being in a group has great has many benefits. However, the three main benefts we believe you will have in joing a group are:
- Grow with God
- Learn you Bible
- Meet new Friends!
Watch this video for more reasons to join a group.
We have three semesters per year for our Growth Groups: Winter, Spring and Fall.
We believe in the importance of Growth Groups in our spiritual growth. We feel that Sunday worship is where we spend time focusing on God and Growth Groups is where God spends time focusing on us!
Acts 2:46-47
"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."
God wants us to be in fellowship with other Christians. New believers can hear what mature believers think. Non-believers can hear what believer think. Everyone can encourage and pray for one another.
At church each Sunday, we come, we worship, we spend a few minutes with each other and then we leave and go about our lives. At Growth Groups, we get connected. We make friendships. Lasting connections! We learn, we grow, we stumble, we help each other get up again.
We learn about the Bible, what God wants us to do in our lives, how we can become better Christians, how we can grow spiritually, what we can do to be better Christians.
We also have fun together each night socializing before and after studies. We make sure to have game nights or fun nights during the semesters and even between semesters. While our spiritual growth is serious stuff, our time together is good friendly fellowship!
Finally, every semester we spend time in our communities. Either as a group, or as a Growth Group organization. Helping others. Donating our time and our energies to help others in whatever way we can. Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lutheran Hospital, St Vincent House, and Charis House are just some of the organizations we have helped.
